Fitness for Freedom: Gym Partnership

How It Works for Gyms

  • Gym Hosts Its Own Competition

    • Could be a lifting challenge (bench, squat, deadlift), CrossFit-style WOD, endurance event, Brazilian Jujitsu competitions or even a fitness class marathon.

    • Gym sets the date and format to fit its members.

  • Members Compete & Contribute

    • Entry fees, pledges-per-rep, or donations collected go directly to the cause.

    • Members also learn about human trafficking and how their participation makes an impact.

  • Recognition & Promotion

    • Each gym gets featured as a Fitness for Freedom Partner across our website, social media, and donor communications.

    • Highlight top-performing gyms (fundraising totals, most creative event, highest member engagement).

  • Unified Branding

    • Shared logo, hashtags (#FitnessForFreedom, #GymsAgainstTrafficking).

    • Branded posters and digital graphics for gyms to display.

    • Survivor impact stories provided so gyms can show why they’re lifting.

Benefits for Gyms

  • Builds community pride and positive reputation.

  • Offers a cause-driven event without needing to leave their space.

  • Generates local media opportunities (“Local gym hosts Fitness for Freedom competition to fight trafficking”).

  • Strengthens member engagement with something bigger than workouts.

Strength Competition

Competition Formats (Gyms Choose What Works Best)

  • Powerlifting Meets – showcase raw strength while lifting for a greater cause.

  • CrossFit-Style Competitions – high-energy WODs that build endurance, teamwork, and awareness.

  • HIIT or Functional Fitness Challenges – inclusive for all fitness levels, encouraging wide participation.

  • Endurance Events – runs, row-a-thons, or cycle challenges tied directly to raising awareness.

  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments – In-house BJJ competitions that draw local athletes, families, and communities together.
